Privacy Policy

VibeDeen is a prayer times, Quran, and qibla companion app. This policy explains what the app accesses on your phone, what stays on your device, and the few things that leave it.

In short: VibeDeen has no user accounts and no servers of its own. LoopXP, the developer of VibeDeen, does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information.

Location

VibeDeen uses your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times for where you are and to point the qibla toward the Kaaba. These calculations happen on your device and work offline.

To display the name of your area (for example, your suburb), the app sends your coordinates to Google's geocoding service to convert them into a place name. This means your approximate location leaves your device and is processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy. It is used only to obtain that place label and is not stored by LoopXP.

Your last known coordinates are saved on your device so the app can show prayer times instantly, even offline. This cache never leaves your phone.

Internet access (recitation audio & tafsir)

Prayer times, the full Quran text, and the qibla all work with no internet connection. A connection is only needed for two optional features:

• Recitation audio: when you play a recitation, the app streams the audio from a third-party source over the internet.
• Tafsir: when you open a tafsir link, it opens in your web browser.

Like any web request, these reach third-party servers that receive standard technical information such as your device's IP address. LoopXP does not receive or store this information.

Notifications

Prayer alerts are optional and turned off by default. When you turn them on, they are scheduled locally on your device — there is no push service and no server involved. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Information stored on your device

The following is stored only on your device and is not sent to LoopXP or any VibeDeen server (there is none):

• Your settings (calculation method, madhab).
• Your bookmarks and last-read position.
• Whether prayer alerts are enabled.
• Your cached location.

Uninstalling the app removes all of this.

What we collect and share

LoopXP does not collect personal information, use analytics, show ads, or sell or share your data with anyone — for advertising or any other purpose. The only data that ever leaves your device is described above: your coordinates sent to Google to obtain a place name, and the requests made to the recitation and tafsir sources when you choose to use those features. Each happens only to make that specific feature work.

Third-party services

• Google — reverse geocoding (turning your coordinates into a place name). Handled under the Google Privacy Policy.
• Recitation audio provider — streams Quran recitation audio when you play it.
• Tafsir website — opens in your browser when you tap a tafsir link.

Children's privacy

VibeDeen is suitable for a general audience. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Your data stays on your device and LoopXP operates no server, so there is no central store of your information that could be breached. Data sent for geocoding or audio streaming is handled by those third parties under their own security and privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change to reflect it.
